Check supply updates as we get close to the day of class as I will continue to update this page. updated  1/9/2018

Class Objective-   In class you  will choose to  paint a more realist eye of a wave or to paint a more abstract interpretation or version. You will be able to choose the color options and see samples of what making these choice will look like in class. No stress. This is a fun part. Painting is sometimes a series of bold moves like  in the game of chess. This class may get you closer to taking those risks. Observation may be enough. You may think the colors are perfect the way they are. Making no change is a choice too.  No stress. Also learn layering, glazes contemporary abstract water.  Learn how to paint the inside of  a rolling wave. Relax.

Paint Colors – Liquitex – heavy body – white, light blue violet, hooker green (looks black inside not green we use  #225  not #224) , alizarin crimson, phthalo blue green shade, portrait pink

We will be putting a very thin base boat of orange on only part of  the canvas. We will not be covering the entire canvas so do not do it before coming to class. You will have a choice as to what part of the base to paint orange.

Special Supplies  – any rectangular canvas. I will use a 16 x 20, 1″ wash brush, very  small fan brush, round pottery sponge, sea sponge, orange ( for base coat this is not liquitex paint – Daler Rowney)  . Don’t forget your standard supplies like paper towels, rectangle table cloth, water bucket, palette, etc.
