Class objective- effective placement of the horizon line in composition with focus on line and balance in composition
The horizontal line is a major component in setting the mood of a painting. That creates a sense of peace. This painting was so successful it sold before the paint was dry. This is an introduction to the pallet knife. Enjoy.
Time – 10am – 3pm with a break for lunch
Date 3-22-17, Arrachme, an internationally published award winning artist with current work in museums worldwide. Bring questions to class. Students say that she is gifted with a gentle nurturing approach that encourages more freedom and opportunity for creativity. Arrachme utilizes written material alongside visual demonstrations in class with the understanding that all people learn from different access points. Her class program is endorsed by both educational and medical professional as a supportive art therapy. Be ready to have fun in a stress free enjoyable environment.
Paint Colors – white, yellow, violet blue, red, portrait pink, raw sienna, hooker green, alizarin crimson, naples yellow, phthalo blue
Special Supplies – At least 2 – small round yellow pottery sponges, long angled pallet knife (not flat), small flat brush. Verticle format. I will use a 16 x 20 canvas.
