Paper, Texture and Cold Wax – The Villages Enrichment Academy
Embark on a journey of creative exploration with our unique abstract painting class. Embrace the tactile dimension of texture while harmonizing elements to achieve balance in your artwork. Day two will activate painting methods. Create a captivating masterpiece on a 16″x 12″ canvas, perfectly suited for display in a floating frame.
Experience convenience as unusual mediums and substrates are provided. Bring $20 on the first day for the instructor.
Students are to bring their basic table setup with a few acrylic paint colors, and two types of brushes a firm bristle brush and a soft standard brush.

Prepare your artistic sanctuary with the essentials:
- Table Setup: The following standard items are from the basic studio part of your table setup.
- Paper Towels: Essential for dabbing and blending, ensuring your colors harmonize effortlessly.
- Palette Paper: A pad is the easiest to bring.
- Easel: Elevate your painting experience with the support of a sturdy easel.
- Paint: Your choice – Here are some examples of colors to bring: Dark hooker green, orange, white, red, or Primary blue, orange, red and white
- Sanding block: absolute must have
- Brushes: 1 firm acrylic brush, liner brush, 1″ wash brush
- Silicone Bowl Scraper: – zoie chloe is a brand of scraper that I use
- The following items are provided for this class: Bring $20 on the first day for the instructor.
- Canvas: A hard painting canvas is provided
- Unique papers: provided surprise
- Glue: needed to glue the papers to the board
- Marking Crayons: Final steps – provided if you don’t have one in your kit.
