Texture and Textile – The Villages Enrichment Academy
Embark on a journey of creative exploration with our unique abstract painting class. Embrace the tactile dimension of texture while harmonizing elements to achieve balance in your artwork. Day two will activate painting methods. Create a captivating masterpiece on a 14 x 11 canvas, perfectly suited for display in a floating frame.
Experience convenience as unusual mediums and substrates are provided. Bring $20 on the first day for the instructor.
Students are to bring their basic table setup with a few acrylic paint colors, and two types of brushes a firm bristle brush and a soft standard brush.

Prepare your artistic sanctuary with the essentials:
- Table Setup: The following items are part of your standard table setup that you will need to bring to class.
- Paper Towels: Essential for dabbing and blending, ensuring your colors harmonize effortlessly.
- Palette Paper: Provides the perfect surface for mixing your palette.
- Easel: Elevate your painting experience with the support of an easel.
- Acrylic Paint: You can bring any color combination. Just keep it simple. I used black, white, burnt sienna, orange
- Brayer: If you have a brayer please bring it. I am bringing a few to use.
- Scissors: heavy kitchen scissors. Bring the kind that you have.
- Sanding Block: important
- Brushes – 1″ soft wash brush, a liner brush, 1 firm acrylic brush, a palette knife

- Canvas: A hard painting canvas is provided
- Unique papers: surprise
- Glue: needed to glue the papers to the board
- Textile: course ribbon
