Iridescent Abstract Painting-The Villages Enrichment Academy
Texture, movement, and color are the stars of this vibrant, provocative abstract. Shimmering notes awaken a personal voice, guiding the eye toward the essential elements of a compelling abstraction. Layers unfold in rhythmic tension, inviting the viewer to linger, explore, and discover their own meaning within the composition. No previous experience is needed. All levels are welcome. Students are required to bring the required listed basic table set up and $10 to class for some included supplies on the first day.The paint colors are suggestions only. Feel free to bring different colors. This class is open to all levels. Registration is not until after Meet the teacher day on Sept 18ish.

Prepare your artistic away from home space with the essentials: 
- Table Setup: We use the same simple supplies that follow, in most classes.
- Canvas: Bring one canvas. 16″ x 20″ Don’t go too big, unless you consider yourself advanced.
- Paper Towels: Essential for dabbing and blending, ensuring your colors harmonize effortlessly. Absolute must.
- Plastic table cloth: dollar store
- Container for water: Larger than a cup
- Palette Paper and Palette Knife: Provide the perfect surface for mixing on your palette paper
- Easel: Elevate your painting experience with the support of a sturdy easel.
- Zoie silicone scraping tool: – it is a flat scraper (no grip) can be any brand. Available on Amazon – see picture above.

- Brushes –1- a soft wash brush, a firmer flat chiseled edge acrylic brush (long brown handle Princeton) , 2 – firm acrylic flat brush, a 1” chip brush, 1- liner brush, round pottery sponge or a tiny fan brush.
