Paint Supplies – Clear gesso, Regular White gesso updated 9-24-2018

Paint in Tubes –  5-7 colors of your choosing,  The colors in the sample are Liqutex heavy body-  hooker green, alizarin crimson,  light yellow, white, light permanent blue, red, violet blue, sap green. Any size canvas, plastic table cloth that fits the table, paper towels are a must, a water bucket, small spray water battle.

Brush – a couple  inexpensive chip brushes for the gesso.  A good acrylic brush, tiny fan brush ( not big one), an angled palette knife (not flat).  Bring a post card or an image of a painting that you would like to use. The painting I used is a Monet.

You may want to bring a practice piece of water color paper to try your colors on before applying the final to your canvas.  This does not have to be fancy.

Pay close attention to the supplies. You will absolutely need the correct gesssos and the flat hard surface and palette knife to mix on for this class. Just buy a small bottle. If you are not sure just go to DK Art Supply in Leesburg. and they will help you. No stress.

Basic required canvas, table cloth, paper towels, water bucket, a flat piece of acrylic or glass to mix paint on, easel. If you have the Masterson palette you can bring it or a paper plate for the second half which is touch up.

The flat acrylic can be purchased at Lowes. They will cut it for you. This is fun so don’t forget to go gt a piece to work on. 12 x 12 is a nice size.
